The weather in Houston yesterday morning was terrible. I had gotten to the office around 8:00AM and thirty minutes to an hour later it looked like it was about 7:30 at night. It was a torrential downpour and the gusts of wind made it appear like it was raining sideways. By the time I left for lunch it looked like a whole new day; the sun was out and shining bright. That's Texas weather for ya.

I purchased my Hunters about a year ago. They are so comfortable and I wear them every opportunity I get, even for a full day at the office! I originally had a hard time deciding whether to get a glossy or matte pair, but the gloss really makes the rain boots pop. For my next pair of Hunters I'll probably get more of a neutral color in matte, just so I can have versatile looks. If you don't have a pair of Hunter boots, I highly recommend you purchase a pair. They are incredibly comfortable, keep your feet warm and dry, are slip resistant and come in a ton of color choices!

Polka dots are so playful and a great addition to any wardrobe. I've had this button up for about four years and the color has not faded! I really like Gap button ups for their quality and price. I have this vest in three different colors. I prefer to layer clothing, rather than throwing on a huge coat. This is the best puffer vest because it has the quilted pattern and the pockets.

Call me weird, but I like matching with Benjy. These are our outfits for every time it rains. Sadly, Benjy is getting bigger and has nearly outgrown his vest and pretty soon I won't be able to carry him like a little baby :( I'll have to get him a new vest in the near future. I will most likely get the same vest, but in a different color since they are reversible and a great price.

I thought the cold was over with, but unfortunately it's chilly again here in Houston (fingers crossed it doesn't last long). I hope y'all have a wonderful Wednesday!
