I can't go into great detail about everything Aria and I did while Karen and Sara were visiting us in Houston, otherwise my post would be very extensive. I'll just touch on a few things, though.

But first I'll briefly talk about my outfit! I purchased my Lilly Pulitzer romper during the after party sale back in January; it looks like a dress but has shorts built in. The print and cutouts are darling and makes me crave for Spring even more. My lace up block heels are from last Spring, but are on major sale right now. I contemplated getting a second pair since I've worn mine out so much! If you don't own a pair, they are the perfect nude heels and go with any outfit.

Friday night we went to dinner at Cuchara, it's authentic Mexican food, rather than Tex-Mex. There are four kooky wall murals inside the restaurant that make a playful addition. We ordered corn cakes as an appetizer, which were my favorite. For my meal I ordered the enchilada trio, two out of the three used salsa verde. I favored those two over the other, but I couldn't taste the difference between the two, honestly. I get enchiladas at every Mexican restaurant; Aria hates that I do this, but I love enchiladas, preferably cheese or spinach and no meat.

For dessert we went to Creamistry, a made to order ice cream shop where the ice cream is flash frozen by liquid nitrogen. I really love the name for some reason, it's just a great play on words. Not only is the name great, but the ice cream is delicious and they have tons of different flavors to choose from. My only complaint is you can only choose one flavor; I typically get 2-3 flavors at other ice cream places. Karen got captain crunch, Sara got the classic cookies n creme and I got cookie butter. They were all scrumptious, I couldn't pick a favorite.

Saturday mornings are my favorite since the farmers market is open from eight to noon. It's located on Eastside Street, right by Kirby Ice House, only about a mile away from our apartment so we like to walk there with Benjy. The five of us went this past Saturday and I introduced my sister to the best avocado toast from Ripe, a vegan food truck. I used to think I didn't like avocados, but after I tried the avocado toast a few months  ago, I'm hooked. The toast has avocados, pesto, tomatoes and red pepper flakes; it is very tasty!

Benjy was muddy after our trek, so Sara and I gave him a bath at the paw spa at my apartment. It was my first time to go there instead of bathing him in my bath tub and it was so much more efficient. He looks so pitiful when he's wet; he almost looks like a completely different dog! We are going to take Benjy to the groomer for the first time pretty soon for a professional cleaning.

Later that night we went to Tiny's Milk & Cookies. The chocolate chip cookies aren't warm, but they are incredibly soft and chewy. They are also very rich, so a glass of milk is a perfect match. Since the chocolate is so rich and the cookie is a decent size, there's no way I could eat more than one cookie in a sitting. Before Karen and Sara left on Sunday we went to Hugs and Donuts in the Heights. They have all sorts of donuts! We got cookie butter, maple bacon and chocolate glazed with sprinkles. Maple bacon is their number one best seller and cookie butter comes in second. They were both yummy!

This post is much longer than usual, but we tried out so many new, delicious places and I wanted to share about them all! Surprisingly with yesterday's rainy weather, this week is supposed to be beautiful. Aria and I will have to take Benjy on some long strolls around our neighborhood.

We survived Monday! I hope y'alls Tuesday is filled with productivity and sunshine☺️☀️
