Pink OTS Top
Hope y'all had a great Tuesday! Sorry I haven't been posting- last week Benjy had gotten sick so I was stressing about that and then there was a lot that needed to be taken care of before we left Thursday morning. I tried to do a blog post on Monday, but the internet here in the Philippines is absolutely terrible! I'm only able to do this one because we're staying in a hotel for one night since we fly out to Japan in the afternoon! Philippines is 13 hours ahead of Houston; it hasn't been too bad adjusting to the time. We've been going to bed at about 7-8pm then waking up anywhere from 3-6am, so early! The sun rises around 5:15am so it's normal for people to be up before then to get their day started.
People don't really dress up in the Philippines; they typically wear tshirts. I've never been a tshirt type of girl, so my mom was a little mad that I didn't try to fit in. If you are an American, but especially a girl, everyone in the Philippines stares at you, they're basically in awe and get very excited. With the combination of looking like an American, but also dressing in this type of an outfit, meant people are definitely going to stare. I don't like being the center of attention, but I didn't want to be covered up in the sweltering heat. I normally hardly sweat, but it is so hot and we are surrounded by a lot of people during transportation, that I was so sweaty. This top was great because it didn't show any of my sweat! It's such great quality, because it has another layer of material underneath of the top layer. It is also the perfect shade of pink! I love OTS tops so much, this particular one is probably my favorite of the ones I own!
My purse is a Chloe dupe from SheIn for only $30! It looks exactly like a Chloe purse and surprisingly it's really good quality. It's been my go to purse in the Philippines; it's a neutral color so it goes with everything and its the perfect size, big enough for me to put a water bottle in and small enough for me to always have a hand on it to make sure no one tries to take it! I've shared previously about the other pieces I'm wearing, but wanted to touch on my shoes. Not only are they so cute, but they're comfortable too! We did quite a lot of walking and they didn't bother me!
I'll be doing a full post about our Philippines trip upon our return but wanted to share a little about it with y'all for this post! I'll try my best to have another post up sometime tomorrow, but it may be hard since I'm not sure what access I'll have in Japan. Hope y'all have a great night!
