I'm not entirely sure where this past weekend went; it flew by. The weather was great for Houston, especially yesterday, with a high of 87 degrees and not a cloud in the sky {humid of course}. It was perfect for my birthday weekend, because I'm not a huge fan of cold weather and in the past it's been freezing. I really needed to lay out and get some sun in and the weather was perfect for me to do so. Unfortunately I wasn't able to because of birthday festivities, but I am hoping this weather continues into next weekend, even though it's still Winter.

I typically don't spend this much on a romper, but I couldn't say no to it, twice. I first saw it in a boutique at Rice Village and fell in love. I then checked the price tag and wanted to cry. I turned around and left the store because I knew I would want to try it on and purchase the romper, due to my lack of self control. The next day I went to The Galleria and saw this Keepsake the Label romper AGAIN. All I was thinking was this romper was meant to be, so I tried it on. That was a mistake; I knew I had to have it. I'm a sucker for floral prints in general and the abstract print on this wasn't any different. The colors are perfect for transitioning from Winter to Spring or for a tropical vacation. The front tie and cutout on the top part is absolutely darling, yet a little scandalous. The material is of great quality, as with any Keepsake the Label clothing pieces. But the best part is the romper also has pockets!

My love for Vince Camuto shoes has not changed. I'm certain these will be my go to nude block heels for this Spring season. These particular heels do run a little large, so I'd go down half a size. The block heel and lace up detail make these super easy to walk in and are surprisingly comfortable when worn for hours. The BaubleBar tassel earrings are mostly pink, but have a little bit of lavender to match perfectly with the romper.

Earlier this week I was steaming a cold shoulder top to wear to work. I have the tendency to put something on, notice it's wrinkled, then try to steam it while it's on. I knew that wasn't going to work for this particular top, but instead of getting a hanger, I used my left arm as a substitute. Needless to say, that did not end well. The spot on my arm is from burning myself with the steamer. Luckily I put burn cream on shortly after it happened, so it looks a lot worse than it feels. I am just hoping it doesn't leave a scar, but at least it makes for a semi-funny story in case it does permanently become a part of my arm. To be honest I'll probably continue to try to steam items as I'm wearing them!

This is probably my favorite outfit I've shown on my blog thus far; I love the romper but also how I accessorized. I hope y'all love it just as much as I do. The week has just begun, but I'm already ready for the weekend. I'm wishing for a quick and productive week for everyone, happy Monday!
