Monday's should be optional. That's exactly how I'm feeling today. I had a fun filled weekend with my sister, Karen and niece, Sara, but I am exhausted. I wish I didn't have work today since it's President's Day, but unfortunately I do. :( If you're lucky enough to not have to go into work for the holiday, I'm extremely jealous of you!

I've worn most of  these pieces in previous posts, but I posted this outfit on Instagram last week for my birthday lunch with coworkers and wanted to share outfit details. I really love an all white outfit, but what makes one better is adding little touches of your favorite color. My love for ruffles hasn't changed and I love layering this particular ruffled top. I typically wear it with a collard shirt underneath, but I've also worn it on it's own or with a vest on top. My printed bird top adds a little playfulness to the outfit.

The weather in Houston couldn't have been any better to have visitors from out of town. It was tanning weather once again on Saturday, so Sara and I went to the pool for about an hour. Sadly, since my skin hasn't been exposed to sun in so long, I didn't get much of a tan like I was hoping for. Stay tuned for tomorrow's post where I'll be sharing what all we did over the weekend, especially if you're a foodie! I hope y'all have a great Monday!
