New Monday, new week, new goals.

I have a feeling this week is going to be wonderful, maybe because it's my birthday week, who knows...But I am ready to tackle this week and accomplish whatever gets thrown my way. I'll be touching on a couple of different topics today, my outfit from last Thursday and also my experience at Steak48 and Club Nomadic.

First I'll share about my outfit. This romper is great for a date night or an evening special occasion. The mesh/tulle material gives it a playful vibe. I love rompers; they are so easy to throw on, yet gives a put together look. These heels are an absolute necessity; I have them in the color shown and the solid adobe color. I've always loved the Valentino Rockstud heels, but unfortunately I can't afford them. I found these a while back on SoleSociety, but sadly they were out of my size. Thankfully the site gives you the opportunity to get an email notification when items come back into stock so I signed up to be notified and patiently waited. As soon as I got the email notifying me they were back in stock I bought the heels in both colors! I wear the Kate Spade watch and BaubleBar earrings frequently, the simplicity allows both of them to be dressed up or down.

Growing up in a small town there weren't too many restaurants to choose from. Since moving to Houston though, Aria has turned me into a foodie; we usually try out a new restaurant about once a week. The ambiance at Steak48 was so lively; the restaurant was filled with people, especially the bar area. I'm not sure if Steak48 is always like that or if it was only because it was Superbowl weekend, but either way Aria and I had a great time. We ordered two appetizers, but I preferred the crispy shrimp over the fried deviled eggs. The shrimp was exploding with flavor and came with a garlic aioli sauce that complimented the flavors of shrimp.  This was my first time to have a NY strip; it was flavorful, especially with the truffle butter on top, but I still prefer filet mignon. For dessert we got the red velvet bread pudding; it looked so good I forgot to take a picture and started scarfing it down instead. I'm a dessert person, but Aria isn't, except when it comes to bread pudding. Steak48 has two bread pudding options, but red velvet is my favorite cake flavor, so I had to have it. Aria initially protested this, for he wanted the brioche chocolate chip bread pudding, but in the end I was able to win him over. It tasted nothing like bread pudding, but Aria agreed it was exceptional. It comes with ice cream on top, and since the bread pudding was so hot, the ice cream melted into the red velvet bread and gave it even  more flavor. Overall though, I would say the environment and location are what makes it so popular.

Club Nomadic was huge, with the capacity to hold up to 9,000 people. I was surprised by the size and quality of the venue for it being a "traveling club". I've been to a few different concerts and music festivals, and The Chainsmokers are the best performers I have seen thus far. Sam Hunt put on a good show, but The Chainsmokers were electrifying. The visuals were psychedelic and everyone in the crowd was having the time of their life. I didn't know what to expect since I had never been to an EDM concert before this, but it was exhilarating. If you ever have the chance to see The Chainsmokers, I highly recommend you do so!

Monday's are always tough, especially Monday mornings. Try to keep in mind though, new Monday, new week, new goals and make this a great start to your week!
