Houston Restaurant Roundup
Hey y'all! This post is a lot different than usual. I'll occasionally share about restaurants in my typical blog posts, but unfortunately I haven't been able to take outfit photos lately. I wanted to do a post since y'all haven't heard from me since last week, so is all about the restaurants I've been to recently!
The Kitchen at The Dunlavy
I love love love avocado toast🥑 For some reason I used to not like avocados at all and I probably won't ever eat one by itself, but I love avocado toast! This past weekend I went to The Kitchen at The Dunlavy to meet up with a couple of local bloggers and I got avocado toast with the Green D smoothie, which is the best seller and I can definitely see why! It's very good, sweet, flavorful and very healthy! A lot of people come to this restaurant after they're done running the trail at Bayou Bend or doing Yoga at BIG since it's so close. I added a poached egg to my avocado toast since I love eggs, but this toast definitely wasn't in the top list for the best avocado toasts I've had. It's tasty, but I would prefer it from Ripe. Don't get me wrong though, I love The Dunlavy and would definitely go back! They have a really good arugula salad and the chandeliers are beautiful!
Happy Fatz
This is a gourmet hotdog place located in the Heights that is dog friendly, so of course we brought little Benjy! The hotdogs here are absolutely huge; they are delicious but since they are so big, it makes it difficult to eat them. That's kinda a big deal to me, I hate it when things are difficult to eat! I ordered The Clucker, which is their most popular hotdog. It has hash browns, bacon and an over easy egg on it, man that's SO unhealthy but so good😭😍 Happy Fatz also has grilled cheese, which is very very good! I'm a huge fan of grilled cheeses, but this one also had tomato and bacon which made it even better😋
Coppa Osteria
I really enjoyed Coppa! The picture above was my main entree- squid ink orzo with scallops, it was SO dang good! The scallops were cooked perfectly and I loved the flavoring of the orzo. The only thing I'd say is to not get the Mozzarella Roasted Tomatoes, not bad at all, just disappointing! Other than that everyone really enjoyed their meal!
Tiny's Milk & Cookies 🥛🍪🍦
I've been here WAY too many times, but it is SO good! I used to think Tiff's Treats had the best chocolate chip cookies since they're usually delivered warm, but it's a tough decision now that I've had Tiny's. Tiny's cookies aren't served warm, but they are so soft and chewy that they don't need to be! Usually when I come here I always get a cookie with milk, but this past weekend I opted for salted caramel ice cream since it's so dang hot outside! It was delicious😋🍦 Aria always get the honey lavender ice cream, it's good, but just not my preference. I don't like mint chocolate chip ice cream either, but at Tiny's it's made with fresh mint and I would actually order it because it's so refreshing!
I'm going to try really hard to post an outfit on the blog tomorrow, but I hope y'all enjoyed this restaurant roundup. Have a great rest of your night! Tomorrow is Friyay!!
